It is depressing when you find something you really want and
you really think would look good on you but it just won’t fit
you. What is more depressing though is when the store has
something larger but the style is no longer exactly the
same. This had happened a thousand times to me
before. Fortunately, the fashion business has thought to
widen its patronage. Thus, trendy plus size formal

Beware of non-proportional large sizes
There are some brands, however, that are not that considerate
for plus sized individuals. Sometimes, they have large
sizes that are only longer in length but the change in the
width is almost unnoticeable. There are also those that
change only the width of a shirt and you would end up wearing
something short of a mid-riff.
For individuals who are large only in some areas, you do not
have to resort to a 4-week marathon to fit into
something. For example, for ladies who have wide hips, it
is not advisable to buy jeans that are large in size.
Although your hips would fit fine, the rest of it would be too
saggy you would look like a mess. It is best to find a
cut that would be wide around just the hips. There are
skinny jeans and hipsters that would accommodate wide hips –
these styles would emphasize your curves.
Similarly, ladies well-endowed in the front would not be
advised to wear oversized shirts as these would make them look
big instead of curvaceous. Fitting tops would be great,
especially those with expandable fabrics, so that the shirt
would glide over the right curves.
If you would want to look smaller in front – which is seldom
the preference of ladies – go for printed shirts, small prints
not the loud bright ones. Or you could go monochromatic
on top and wear loud jeans or skirts to direct the onlookers’
attention down.
The advantages of looking for large
I’ve noticed that sites offering various sizes, at the end of
one fashion season, it is usually the plus size formal wear
that are put on sale. I’m not sure if everyone else has
gotten thinner or the stores just have more plus size clothing
for women. Whichever is the case, I am glad it is so as I
have gotten really good bargains by checking listings of items
on sale.
It may require more than a little bit of patience but poring
through online sales is worth your while once you find amazing
steals. Some designer plus size clothes have even marked
down to almost half their original prices. Sometimes it
is good to wait for the change of stocks to get amazing classic
items at dirt cheap prices.

For some items however that you believe are hard to get by and
you feel deep in your heart had been made for you, please do
not wait for a sale. Remember that you are not along in
